Fees of the Union

The budget of the Union is formed of:

contributions from advocates
fees established by the Council of the Union
fines paid by advocates as disciplinary sanctions
other payments not prohibited by law

Advocates are obliged to pay in time their contributions to the budget of the Union. The advocate’s contribution is 250 lei per month. The contribution is paid in advance, either in full or in two instalments every 6 months. The first payment should be made by May 31, and the second payment must be made by November 30. Trainee advocates do not have such an obligation.

During the suspension of activity, the advocate is exempt from the obligation to pay this contribution.

The non-payment of contributions to the Union for more than 6 months leads to the automatic suspension of the advocate’s activity. The activity is suspended until the full payment of the arrears and the submission of a request for the reinstatement of the activity.
