The Council can also be convened in an extraordinary session by the President of the Union or by one-third of its members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Council of the Union  has the following main responsibilities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>executes the decisions made by the Congress<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>establishes the mandatory contributions and fees of the Union and approves the budget of the Union<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>approves high value transactions of the Union<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>issues guidance on the recommended advocates\u2019 fees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>deals with matters concerning the exercise of the legal profession, except for those attributed to the Congress<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>approves the key aspects concerning the training and professional development of advocates, including the training program for trainee advocates and the continuing education of advocates<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>appoints the Secretary General, the Director of the Advocates&#8217; Training Center and advocates members delegated to the National Council for Guaranteed Legal Aid<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>approves the legal traineeship contracts and the discontinuation of the advocate&#8217;s activity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Council of the Union is composed of the President of the Union, the deans of the territorial bar associations and of advocates delegated by the territorial bar associations for [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":5023,"parent":4872,"menu_order":47,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"inline_featured_image":false,"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-4765","page","type-page","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"aioseo_notices":[],"aioseo_head":"\n\t\t<!-- All in One SEO 4.9.8 - aioseo.com -->\n\t<meta name=\"description\" content=\"The Council of the Union is composed of the President of the Union, the deans of the territorial bar associations and of advocates delegated by the territorial bar associations for a 4 year mandate.
