On September 8, 2023, the International Conference of the Union of Advocates of the Republic of Moldova took place with the theme “The role of the lawyer in modern society”, organized in the context of the Lawyer’s Day in the Republic of Moldova, celebrated every year on September 9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The conference was a successful event that brought together renowned lawyers and legal experts from Europe, thus providing a platform for discussion, exchange of ideas and experience on the most current topics in the field of law at national and international level , such as the risks of the legal profession, the digitization of the legal profession and judicial processes, new forms of organization of the legal profession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The conference included the opening session, two plenary sessions and a special session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event started with the speech of the President of the Union of Lawyers from the Republic of Moldova, Dorin POPESCU. In the opening session of the conference, Veronica MIHAILOV-MORARU, Panagiotis PERAKIS, Lydia IZOVITOVA, Daniel-C\u0103t\u0103lin FENECHIU came with a word of appreciation for the importance of the topics to be addressed, but also with congratulatory messages on Lawyer’s Day in the Republic of Moldova and Alexandru POSTICA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the first plenary session, moderated by the President of the Union of Lawyers from the Republic of Moldova, Dorin POPESCU, the risks of the lawyer profession were discussed, and special contributions were made by international guests, Anna LAZARCHUK, Fabien ARAKELIAN, Vincent MAUREL, Robert RO\u0218U and lawyers from Republic of Moldova, Victor MUNTEANU, Alexandru GROSU, Alexandru POSTICA, Denis TERIO\u0218CHIN and Doina-Ioana STR\u0102ISTEANU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the second plenary session, moderated by the Dean of the Chisinau Bar, Alexandru \u021aURCAN, the digitization of court processes was discussed, exploring the impact of technology and innovation on the justice system. Florentin \u021aUCA, Iurii GRYGORENKO, Au\u0161ra RAULI\u010cKYT\u0116, Lucia POPESCU, Mr. Sorin POPESCU, Andrei OJOGA, Natalia BALABAN and Vitalie E\u0218ANU intervened with valuable speeches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The special session had as its topic “New forms of exercising the profession”, to which the university professor, Doctor of Law, Lucian-Bernd S\u0102ULEANU and the ex-dean, advisor of the Hauts-de-Seine Bar Association from France, contributed with valuable presentations in the National Council of French Bars, Vincent MAUREL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
