The Ethics and Discipline Commission consists of 11 advocates, out of which 6 are elected by the Congress, and 5 are delegated by the territorial Bars. The biggest regional Bar (Chișinău) elects 2 advocates and one advocate is elected from each other regional Bars.
The main responsibilities of the Ethics and Discipline Commission are:
- examines disciplinary complaints regarding the actions of advocates and trainee advocates
- applies disciplinary sanctions to advocates and trainee advocates
